Tyn Ffrwd, Llandecwyn, Gwynedd, Snowdonia, LL47 6YT

Country roads take me home! Here's the best chance we've seen for ages to enjoy peace and quiet living in the hills away from any close neighbours. This traditional 2 bedroom detached stone cottage has exposed beams & stone work, plus a wood burner stove and a Rayburn. Watch the video we've made for you on our website - There are pretty gardens and off road parking. The cottage has not been recently modernised and still retains its priceless simple charm and attraction. The scenery around the area is still largely undiscovered by the masses and the ride up the winding lane past the lake should have you enchanted way before you even arrive!

If you want to escape from the the crowds, watch the video on our own website to help get the feel for the simple charm and rural Snowdonia National Park location that is all part of the lifestyle this quaint 2 bedroom detached stone cottage will help you enjoy. There's not many opportunities like this left - All the added appeal that it's not been recently modernised and therefore retains lots of charm from a bygone era.  Cottage gardens, parking space, private water and drainage make this nothing short of idyllic in our eyes - If you think it's just a hovel in the middle of nowhere, we have plenty of bungalows in modern cul de sacs that will suit you instead!

Location

Planning Application NP5/77/296A with Snowdonia National Park granted on 25/09/13 for a single storey extension.

Take the A496 northwwards from Barmouth for about 16 miles. Look out for the Llandecwyn village sign and then at the Briwat bridge junction turn right (slightly staggered) and up the hill. Continue for about a mile or so up along the narrow winding lane. There are superb views of the estuary behind you! At the red box turn left by the former chapel. Continue over a cattle grid. Follow the lane around the lake (do not bear off left up the hill). After the lake, do not branch off right, just keep straight ahead along the lane. After 400 metres continue over cattle grid, continue up hill and the cottage is on the left after about another 300 metres.

Directions

Llandecwyn is a small village just south of the Dwyryd Estuary on the West coast of the Snowdonia National Park. Tyn y Ffrwd stands up in the hills along a single track country lane, past a lake well away from the village itself.  Llandecwyn is ideally situated as a base from which to enjoy the Snowdonia National Park. From your doorstep is access to splendid mountainous scenery, forestry, rivers and numerous public footpaths and country walks.
